I enjoyed twilight, but found it poorly written, repetitive and drawn out. Due to its huge popularity however there are tons of new books coming out about vampires and other non-humans relationships with humans. I’ve found it difficult to distinguish the interesting, well written books from ones that are just trying to coast on twilight’s coat tails. Here are a few I have found that I really liked, and you might like too.<\/p>\n
Wicked Lovely<\/a> and Ink Exchange<\/a> by Melissa Marr (I’m hoping to get the third book in the series, Fragile Eternity<\/a>, for Christmas)<\/p>\n hush hush<\/a> by Becca Fitzpatrick<\/p>\n Tithe: A Modern Faerie Tale<\/a> by Holly Black<\/p>\n Here are a few of my favourite books that feature awesome female characters<\/p>\n Stargirl<\/a> and Love, Stargirl<\/a> by Jerry Spinelli<\/p>\n How I live Now<\/a> by Meg Rosoff<\/p>\n Luna<\/a> by Julie Anne Peters<\/p>\n Kissing Doorknobs<\/a> by Terry Spencer Hesser and A.J. Allen<\/p>\n Walk Two Moons<\/a>, Absolutely Normal Chaos<\/a> and The Wanderer<\/a> by Sharron Creech<\/p>\n I like everything by Sarah Dessen but Someone Like You<\/a> and The Truth About Forever<\/a> are probably my favourites<\/p>\n There.
