Hey there, I use linoleum blocks. There are a couple types you can get, I get a fairly soft variety that’s a bit less then a cm thick and fairly rubbery. It’s similar to a white eraser, but firmer, although I sometimes do make small stamps out of white erasers. You can also buy thiner types, sometimes mounted on wood, but I find those a lot harder to cut/work with. As for tools, I use a speedball lino cutter. I just use ink pads for stamping most of my stamps, but I have used ink, a roller, and a piece of glass for bigger stamps in the past, those can also be seen in the link above.
