Today after choir I’ve been reading, I guess a treat after two physics test today. A breather, as there’ll be two more next week, and I still have one to finish tomorrow. It’s amazing the way stories affect people who really love them. This story is tender and raw and heavy. It’s about moving forward, no matter how hard. It’s about losing and gaining and feeling the weight of your past even as you stumble in to something as miraculous as love. It’s about holding on to your faith, your joy, even when something horrible happens, and your family is falling a part and your heart won’t follow societies rules. It’s about a girl named Bess who lives on the edge of the Niagara Falls.
