I’ve found a good way to fall asleep

I’ve always struggled with sleep. After Christmas holidays and late nights it’s been hard falling asleep even around 11. I used to try and remember Radio code but now that is just as fast as saying the alphabet, or nearly so (not that I’m a particularly fast alphabet reciter.)

So I add numbers up in my head. I’ve had these two strings memorized for a while now. If I’m ever really awake, but really need to sleep maybe I’ll make it to cubes.

1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9+10+11+12=78

1^2+2^2+3^2+4^2+5^2+6^2+7^2+8^2+9^2+10^2+11^2+12^2=650

I’ve never tried doubling numbers but I bet that would work two.

It’s strange, but I really do find number soothing. I think its the fact that they never change, they’re absolute and perfect and imaginary.
