“Don’t judge a man until you walk two moons in his moccasins” is a favourite quote of mine, just as walk two moons is a favourite book, but I’m still sort of amused by this version

“Don’t judge a person until you’ve walked two miles in their shoes, that way, you’re two miles away and you have their shoes.”
