Thanks!

I would just like to mention I really appreciate all the support I’ve gotten recently. It feels really good to see that over 100 people, mostly strangers, liked something I made all by myself. I’m referring, of course, to my blog post about the dftba stamp I made, which has been featured with the tags #Crafts and #DIY. It really gave me a boost, and I can use as many boosts as I can get these days. It also makes me even more excited about creating stuff and sharing it on tumblr. 🙂

I made this DFTBA stamp a couple weekends ago. I thought it may be good for wrapping paper and notes as well as generally spreading awesome, but then I had an idea to make this print for my wall, so I don’t forget to be awesome. It’s hard to tell in the picture but I used metallic silver and gold pigment ink (Ink it Up!), a silver paint pen for the ‘Don’t Forget to be Awesome’ lettering, and red, blue and green Staedtler triplus gel-liners for outlining some stuff. I also used a ruler as aguide so that the spacing was relatively even/straight (Okay, so I didn’t do that the first time, and I had to redo it, but I think it looks pretty good now!)

These are soooo cute!

I love these pictures my dad took of me and my mom at the beach when we all went looking for cool driftwood to mount my enamelled roadrunner on. I made the DFTBA shirt using sunpaint, paper cutouts, and leaves. There are little stars around the top, and lots of colour everywhere. It’s overall very cheery. My fast growing (NAT) photshop skills allowed us to both have our eyes open 😀 Back when I had more blue in my hair, and yet it is hardly visible.

Kamilah! Your enamelling is gorgeous! Would you possibly take an order to make something and ship it if I sent you some dolla bills?

Thanks! The kiln and equipment is my mom’s and I’m not at home right now. If you’re still interested at Christmas I think we could work something out 🙂 What did you have in mind? I actually do sell the seahorses and yoga people, so if it was one of those you were after I could get it to you sooner.
