I won candyland!
Also all the girls cancelled on me for the concert.
Thats okay though, I like boys.
This is a heartbreakingly beautiful photo set. The ache. The emotion.
Justin Nozuka is sexy even with long hair and a low cut t-shirt
It’s probably just to show off his tattoo.
OH MY GOD HE’S SO GOOD LIVE THOUGH.
swoooooooooooon
At the end of the last academic term I got recognized in the SLC for performing poetry in the bomber back during frosh week. That was pretty cool. In addition to just being nice it’s cool to see indicators of the impact we have without even realizing it.
It always shocked me when I realized that I wasn’t the only person in the world who thought and felt such strange and awful things.
Sometimes I think this book is responsible for my unexplainable bouts of sadness.
One of those movies that thankfully stayed true to the book. I love books that are real enough to make you ache like that. The actors did so well. Just superb overall. I even went to a theatre to see it.
I think I need to screencap this. Especially “SAY ‘NO’ MORE OFTEN.”
It’s always good to have one or two of these lists around
Zora Howard performs Bi-Racial Hair at the 2006 Urban Word NYC Annual Teen Poetry Slam.
Theres another version of this video here: http://lab.wgbh.org/open-call/bi-racial-hair
This girl was only 13 when she wrote this, she’s simply incredible. If nothing else, read the bellow excerpt.
“I have biracial hair because I have biracial blood. I’m not talking about that cute ‘Daddy met a black woman and fell in love’ blood, I’m talking about that slave raped six times by the master, birthing six mixed babies, later hung blood. I’m talking about that cross-burning in the mud blood, and you call me a mudblood? Slit my wrists, and my blood does not excrete in black and white. I dream in verse and in red like what spilled from Emmett Till’s lips when he was killed for breaking down color lines. “
