Today’s drawing was inspired by Amanda Palmer’s TED talk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMj_P_6H69g). I found her description of street performing especially touching. I think people who reach out to strangers, how see the unseen, are superheroes.

I took a picture out of my window today with my telephoto lens, printed it out on card paper and did some angsty embroidery.

Prompt: thunderstorms. I was having a conversation yesterday about how difficult it would be to draw the beautiful way reflections ripple in the street after a storm & thought I would try it out. Conclusion: I was correct; it was difficult.
