I may have started to run out of ideas at some point in this project…
I just really like this thing I made.
To make this stamp I used a design I’d drawn in Photoshop and printed it out at the appropriate size. Before the ink set I transferred it to the rubber by simply rubbing the back of the paper with my fingernail. Then I outlined in pencil and carved out around the shape. I usually carve out the outline and then cut out the rest of the areas I want blank.
Then I made a print for my wall!

I made this mockingjay stamp yesterday because
a. the mockingjay pin is a great design
b. I am so psyched for the hunger games movies to come out
and c. I love making stamps

Anatomical Cross-Sections Made with Quilled Paper by Lisa Nilsson
So ridiculously cool. This really makes me want to try out making something of my own from quilled paper. I have seen the technique in the past but this is definately the neatest thing I’ve seen made with it.
P.S. I am constantly having to prevent myself from every neat thing bookpaperscissors blogs. They’re my #1 tumblr crush with something ridiculous like 20% now, and they’re moderating a new tumblr tag #artistsontumblr. Definately very awesome, you should check it out.

- Sushi with friends I haven’t seen in a while (ALL YOU CAN EAT FUN)
- Maybe Glee and pink lemonade with dinner after Biochem
- Eating a lot of chocolate, and feeling justified in doing so
- Lori is going to paint my finger nails like CANDY CANES, how great is that?
- Making use of some of those pi bucks AT LEAST getting a new book for the plane home

- Secret Craft Projects (for _ _ _ _ and _ _ _ _ _ )
- Seeing the Fam
- Cousin!
